2026 LISA Youth Referees of the Year: Mckenna Nemeth and Braeden Lowe
This past year, LISA was proud to recognize two outstanding referees whose dedication, professionalism, and passion for the game have made a significant impact on our local soccer community.
Both McKenna and Braeden have demonstrated exceptional growth in their officiating careers, consistently displaying confidence, composure, sound judgment, and respect on the field. Their commitment to continuous improvement has earned them opportunities to officiate at the highest levels of youth soccer, including Provincial Cup competitions and invitations to officiate at the recent CSA Youth National Championships.
Beyond their accomplishments on the field, both individuals have demonstrated outstanding character and leadership, serving as positive role models and mentors to younger officials. Their shared ambition to achieve provincial-level certification reflects their commitment to personal development and strengthening our local referee community.
As Canada Soccer emphasizes, “We are not only looking for good referees, but good people.” McKenna and Braeden exemplify both qualities, and we look forward to their continued growth and success.
Congratulations to McKenna and Braeden, the 2026 LISA Referees of the Year and this week’s Island Soccer Spotlight recipients!
